Yay, text! What could be better to celebrate my sesquicentennicomic than a rant showing my hatred towards n00bs, author comics and recolors! What fun!

Also, don't really show this comic to the author guys. They already hate me for no reason (all I said was that their sprites looked bad, and they just said "I DON'T CARE SHUT UP!") Don't you hate n00bs too?

So, yeah. Let's hope for another fifty!

Also, I was making fun of Megaman Xtreme's description, describing it as "Chaos". I'm not saying it's a bad comic. So don't kill me, Kaichii.

Non-stop-joining!
Hedgehogs are in it!!! 0.o
NO STORYLINE!!!!!!!!!! >.<

This is so stupid, when i have to, i exit this S***!!!

NachoMan, January 27th, 2007, 1:00 pm

Make sure that when you leave, you leave a long ranting post about all the problems in the comic that caused you to leave. Then post it here so you'll have a backup (those jerks WILL delete it)

NachoMan, January 27th, 2007, 1:01 pm

Hey, I just noticed something:

That comic's only been around for about a month, and it already has 200 comics! What the hell!?

Jeshi-kun, January 27th, 2007, 1:05 pm

-_-...

Author comics are Fun!

and if you don't agree you should Join one and see if you have fun!

I make comics for fun, I don't really care if people read them or not, I enjoy Makeing them then if somebody likes them, well thats nice, but I'll still keep makeing comics! I'm not a bob and george/Insonica wannabe who makes comics for them to be read, I make them to make them, and Author comics, although there are already existing ones, They don't actully have room, After awhile most author comics stop letting other authors in, then the only way to get in one is to wait.... or maybe make your own, I must admit that Fox club sucks, and I'm only in it cause they seem to Want me in it alot, But there are good author comics that people enjoy makeing and some people actully read, and I almost never saw a Runing Author comic with all bad grammer, or Recolors! I say that if you make a comic for Fans, then don't make a comic, although if you make a comic because you enjoy makeing it, then good, if You make a comic because people want you to make it, but you don't like makeing it, then Just let them off saying that you don't want to make it, I really like your comics Nachoman, but your opinions on Author comics are little strong and to my dislike, and please! nobody repost this comment with misspellations being pointed out or anything, if you do you Just proove how uptight you are,

Most people edit sprites, and Nachoman, your author sprite is probally one of the most redone ones for Megaman edits, which to have brown hair, a white t-shirt, and Jeans, I've seen alot of those. so don't go saying that there are to many Tail's edit's with clothing,

This has been a rant >_>

NachoMan, January 27th, 2007, 1:16 pm

I never said all Authors Comics sucked, nor did I say anything bad about anyone in particualar. I have alot of respect for most people. I'm just saying that alot of author's comics have unoriginal stuff and whatnot.

Also, I know that some authors comics stop allowing authors after a while. But a vast majority of them are just announcements saying "Need authors! Please Join!"

So, I have respect for people who join authors comics(such as you ;)). I just don't like the comics. Maybe if they had more plot or experienced spriters to balance them out...

And if you haven't seen an authors comic with bad quality, you obviously aren't on Smackjeeves enough. :S

Indeed there are some bad author comics out there. two things that bug me about some. The first thing is that I have noticed that some of the authors are apart of another author comic as well as have there own. Also to add, there are some authors who don't have a regular comic , just author ones. These might be part of why some author comics arn't as good since they have 5 others to make a comic for. Then secondly, some of the author comics that I have read have the word random in either the title or the discription, and after reading it, it's not. They tend to follow a story line of sorts (or 5) which does not make it random.
There are good ones out there, so it's not like they all are bad. Guess it was the reason why I started Tropical Fruit.

Holy pizza toppings, Blue Ninja's GONE RANT! :P

Oh and NachoMan, it's Megaman Xtream! Spelled wrong on purpose! 9:

Okay, so yes, n00bs are destroying are shell of internet goodness...

But the sad thing? Almost 100% of my friends type in the horrendous thing that is chatspeak...

I mean...it makes me so SAD! As for author comics...no offense to them, but it seems like a comic maker's way to say: "I'm too lazy to make my characters, so YOU be my characters! :}"

I joined one for a while...then I forgot to update and got thrown off...it wasn't fun at all. The updates were so rapid that I couldn't keep up, and...THEY JUST GOT RID OF ME! I mean...

SRRISLY! My opinion, if the author is bad, the comic'll be bad and that will attract a bad audience that sticks up for the comic when it's critiqued by dissing the critique-er...o O;;;

Chaos Ctrl, for example was a very bad-humored comic (NachoMan, back me up on this, you were here!), and any critique it was given, one of the authors, and I quote, said this:

"We spend thirteen hours on these comics, trying to come up with them. We provide you with FREE ENTERTAINMENT that you can READ WHENEVER YOU WANT!"

And it goes on from there. Uhm, heylo, since when does the rest of SJ cost money to read? o O;;;

The only thing that costs money on this site are those new ad things on the side and top bars! Good grief!

Esse...one author that should have burned along with the flames he gave out to comics...

He wasn't one of those Author Comic people, but damned if he wasn't the biggest, stupidest n00b on the face of the earth. He still is...too...

>P;;;

You know, I'm going to stop, because I could go on for hours about this, and I've already done that in Chaos Ctrl...so I'll be leaving it here. :D

NachoMan, January 27th, 2007, 4:13 pm

Er...I back you up? *backs away from rambling* ;)

Shard, January 27th, 2007, 5:16 pm

Wow, lookit the posts =D
Anyway, I have a very mixed opinion when it comes to these kinds of things. I'm tollerant when it comes to author comics, but only if they're not like, say, the Fox Club. That comic went from bad to $#!% @$$ crappy. -_- I'm not joking. I think the thing that really takes down author comics is when they let anyone join and then the new authors completely suck and can't do anything, then they post nonsensical comics that are one panel long and make no sense. The thing that REALLY ticks me off, however, is mentioned in Crash's 10 Commandments of sprite comics. The very first one. If you don't have a reason to start a comic... DON'T START ONE! I mean, when you have a reason, and you're having fun, you tend to get fans, which makes you feel good, but when you start a comic and say "I just want to be popular, don't critique me" I want to find that person and shove their computer DOWN THEIR THROAT. >_> I'll stop now since I don't feel like typing more... but with everyone else's comments, you should get my point.

Bassium!, January 28th, 2007, 6:32 am

And during all of this...
I can't help but feel that I'm a "Sprite comic n00b/Newb" because I make comics that I think are cruddy but that just 'cuz I'm a pesismist. And let it be known "Spire the Hedgehog" is the biggest sprite comic n00b to me, I mean for freaking sake his recolor even sucks it's to bright!!!

turbo_da_hedgehog, February 3rd, 2007, 4:19 pm

there is nothing wrong with recolors dang it
\ _ /

NachoMan, February 3rd, 2007, 10:48 pm

Yes, there is. You can't just take Sonic, make him brown and then call him a new character. Why? CAUSE IT'S STILL SONIC! It just has a new paint job!

Also, I know you gave the comic a one. I'm not stupid.

Kris the Demon, June 26th, 2008, 4:50 pm

For some reason, reading this made me feel very guilty.

Deadpool, November 8th, 2009, 3:19 am

Not all author comics are n00b infested grammar-less Jpegs. Some have plot and people who want to socialise in the form of comics. So don't bad-mouth whole genre just because one webcomic is terrible.

Satellite of love
